HR Business Partner (m/f/d)


The HR Business Partner is responsible for the general HR in the field of people and organization, development, communication and health management. Contributes to continuously improving HR processes. Acts as a coach for the line management. In addition to signaling developments and bottlenecks, advises managers and team leaders. In addition, the HR Business Partner is actively contributing to the realization of the overall HR agenda.

As our HR Business Partner at Marel Oberlahr, you will be responsible for our general HR issues, development, communication and health management. You will do so in collaboration your HR colleagues in Germany and the rest of Europe, and the HR Manager for Germany.

Marel Oberlahr has 400 employees who design and manufacture solutions for food processing. Marel operates in for locations in Germany with 630 employees and growing. We have operations in Biedenkopf, Osnabrück, Kehl and Oberlahr. Marel has a flexible working policy and as our HR Business Partner in Oberlahr that will be your primary location, with the possibility to work from home some days per week.   

You will play an important role uniting the employees in Oberlahr, ensuring a company culture driving engagement to an entrepreneurial, innovative great place to work. You will help implementing new HR processes, procedures and compliance to laws, regulations and ethical guidelines. You will also:

  • Advise and support the line management and employees within company policy and German legislation.
  • Realize HR goals in line with Company’s mission, vision and strategy, to contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization
  • Support organization in retaining, developing and rewarding talent
  • Provide guidance concerning assessments, career development and management development
  • Provide advice on all sorts of topics related to employees, management and organization such as personnel guidance, conflict management, absenteeism, occupational health and safety policy, dismissal and employment conditions
  • As a "change agent", contribute to organizational development, cultural changes and leadership development
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in the field of Human Resource Management and / or Business Administration 
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a (broad) generalist HR function, preferably in an international environment, and has experience at a tactical and operational level 
  • Experience with change management, ideally from integration projects and Leading and developing a HR team 
  • Experience in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage 
  • Experience and comfort working in dealing with work councils Experience with change management, ideally from integration projects
